The Land of Wonder

The Brief

To design and deliver a summer celebration for over 3000 guests including 800 children.

WAF were tasked to define a concept, design a memorable experience, and produce all of the guest management, logistics, travel, build, production, F&B and entertainment. A full 360 event that catered for every guest.

The Idea

Guests were invited to take a voyage to The Land of Wonder, a dream-like land across the seas. A place to recapture your youth and to explore and roam the different lands; Tipi Village, Mermaids Lagoon, Crocodile Creek, Pixie Hollow, Skull Rock, the Sunken Ship and everywhere in-between. This was to be a truly immersive experience set within the grounds of a private countryside estate, including a stunning derelict house and over 5ha of space.

The Result

Visitors were thrilled by a captivating journey throughout this enchanting event, punctuated with a full schedule of entertainment from head massages to laughter yoga, a walking steel band and aerial performances.

Children had their very own dedicated land where dreams could be realised. 'Lost Kidz' was packed with rides & games, workshops and food from make-your-own treasure map pizza to kids picnic boxes.

Activities offered plenty of opportunity to let off steam which included the world’s largest bouncy castle, archery tag, dash n grab (a life size hungry hippo game), and multiple other group games and fun.

A host of bars and a series of help yourself stations catered to everyone’s requirements whilst a large stretch tent incorporated a stage for bands and entertainment with an always busy dance floor.

In mermaid’s lagoon, you could find the perfect antidote to the buzz of the outdoors. A café with a sweet treats buffet, tea & coffee and bubbles were on offer alongside a clay workshop.

After months of hard work and over 200 people working on site, WAF were pleased to have delivered yet another large-scale production leading to an unforgettable event where every detail was taken care of.
