The Challenge

Spotify invited us to design and deliver Now Playing London, an exclusive, invite-only evening at their London HQ celebrating creators, industry partners and the future of audio. The event needed to feel premium yet playful, delivering a seamless mix of connection, entertainment and storytelling through Spotify’s unmistakable lens.

The Bigger Picture

As the home of modern listening, Spotify wanted to bring its creative community together for a night that embodied its personality - dynamic, social and sound-led. The experience had to elevate the brand’s identity while keeping the focus on people, conversation and discovery. Our role was to translate Spotify’s global Now Playing platform into a one-off London experience that would spark connection and celebrate culture through sound.

From Idea to Impact

Set across multiple spaces, the event unfolded like a live playlist, each moment revealing a new tone, tempo and mood. Guests entered through a vibrant floral DJ booth and neon Now Playing signage before discovering a world of tactile brand touchpoints. Highlights included the Sweet World Tour, a global pick ’n’ mix bar connecting guests to Spotify playlists via QR codes; a custom merch station; and a cocktail bar serving signature drinks such as the Now Playing Negroni and Playback Paloma.

As the evening unfolded, guests were treated to a keynote from Roman Kemp and an exclusive performance and Q&A with Jessie Ware, followed by networking over music, cocktails and canapés by chef Lorenzo from Salami Events. The result was a night that struck the perfect balance between culture and connection, an effortless reminder that when Spotify brings people together, the room always plays in tune.
